Senza dubbio un volto da lunedì mattina. Eppure era sabato, quel giorno sul San Luca, dopo una corsa disputata sotto la pioggia sin dall'inizio. In pochissimi conclusero la prova e tutti, spettatori compresi, non vedevano l'ora di trovare un caldo rifugio che potesse far loro dimenticare tutta quell'umidità. Nella confusione del dopo corsa ecco spuntare Sastre, che ancora non aveva vinto il Tour, ma che si era dimostrato già capace di coniogare il lavoro di squadra con le ambizioni personali.

 

A monday face indeed. Here we are on the top of the San Luca at Giro del'Emilia 2005 after the race which was run under tremendous conditions since the start. Heavy rain, cold weather and whatever you don'twant from an October day. At the end the few riders able to complete the competition were all looking for a dy recovery. Sastre was not yet the Tour de France winner but a solid rider able to work hard for the team and be also protagonist in the finals.
