Tirreno Adriatico 2012 |
It's the Italian cycling moment. After Strade Bianche we may now enjoy another great race: Tirreno Adriatico. Seven days of race through Appennines in centre Italy. Seems that during next days the weather won't be such good as showed in the picture above, but the show must go on. At least till Sunday, when the race will hit the climb to Monte San Vicino, which is quite high on the sea level, and could be affected by the snow that fall during the week. We prefer, however, the previous stage, finishing in Foligno, which is close to the traditional kind of route usually selected for Tirreno Adriatico: a sequence of several hills with some steep section. This is the case for Montefalco climb, which seems to be very interesting for an attack, at least on the second passage. Difficult to see a solo at the finish but most probably a bunch of selected riders fighting for the stafe win. Perfect for Sagan!
Will be there? I will. A day out with my family, to show to my young son what cycling is. For the pictures of tomorrow.
