Lucignano d'Asso è un gruppo di case perdute sul versante nord d'una collina nelle Crete Senesi. Nel nulla d'una terra che si perde nel tempo. Non vi si odono suoni se non quelli del vento libero che non si intrappola tra rami di alberi che non ci sono. Quando il gruppo svolta a sinistra e s'immette nella discesa verso Lucignano è oramai mezzogiorno passato. Dalla collina spoglia, emerge soltanto una pino antico. Da lassù il mondo è splendido.

Lucignano d'Asso is a small group of houses lost on the north side of a hidden hill in the Crete Senesi. In the nothing of a land lost in the past times. There are no sound except for the wind, that flows free from branches that are not there. When the group turns left, down to the hill, towards Lucignano d'Asso it's lunch time. On the top of the naked hill there's a lonely pine three. From over there, the world is beautiful.
