Una giornata perfetta. Un intera città ferma per la partenza del Giro d'Italia. Le vie del centro invase di grande ciclismo, di appassionati e di semplici curiosi. Genova era bellissima. Mc Gee fu uno degli ultimi a partire. Il più veloce, il più spregiudicato nell'affrontare le difficili traiettorie del percorso. Maglia rosa, infine, nella serata luminosa di quel sabato di Maggio.
A perfect day. An entire city standing for the Giro grand depart. The downtown invaded by the cycling, the tifosi and all curious people. Genoa was wonderful. Mc Gee was one of the last to start. The fastest, the most brave to drive on the small roads of the old town where the route was designed. Rosa jersey, at the end, in the bright evening in that Saturday of May.
